Hearing Mojo: A Web Site For The Hearing Industry
Hearing Mojo got its start as a personal blog started by David Copithorne after he suffered a bout of sudden severe hearing loss. Dave’s background in business, technology and journalism fed his interest in writing posts not only about his own experience, but about the hearing aid industry overall, including the technologies driving it, customer experiences, the evolution of distribution channels and the strategies of the leading manufacturers.
Over time, Hearing Mojo has expanded into a general web site for the hearing industry. There is a lot of inside information on hearing aids, hearing assistance products, technologies, and business strategies driving the growth of the hearing industry.
There are only a few other sites out there covering the hearing industry in great depth, so Hearing Mojo has attracted a following. Hearing Mojo readers include many audiologists, product developers, managers and investors in the hearing assistance industry. It also is of interest to people with severe hearing loss who are interested in everything and anything published about hearing aids, cochlear implants, hearing science and advocacy for people with hearing loss.
Recently Dave has stopped work on his other consulting projects and started devoting full time to researching and writing about the hearing industry. In addition to more posts for Hearing Mojo, in July 2013 he launched a new sister site, Hearing Products News, for consumers looking for hearing aids and hearing assistance. Hearing Products News is for people searching for hearing assistance for the first time and turning to the web to seek out hearing aids, hearing assistance technologies and services, personal sound amplification products and other products and services that can help them with their hearing loss. Hearing Mojo will continue to be for hearing professionals working in and around the hearing industry.
